Wiring,
it's better, if you upload your picture directly on the diskussion board. Over the Button "Antwort hinzufügen" have you got the option to choose the pathway of the file with the aid of "Durchsuchen".
After then you have to go on "Antwort hinzufügen".

Hello again

How I promised here are the pictures of my Sr-2.
I don't finished it yet but you can see my ambition. I need to find some original "staff"
- tool box (cap) "Werkzeugkastendeckel"
- tank cap
- ...and more

The serial of chassis is 763141.

The serial of engine who is on the moped is 669241.
I assembled it from two. The second engine has unreadible serial- 782***8*. I can't see how many digits are there - 6 or 7 but this is THE ORIGINAL engin of moped.

The back absorber on the moped is from rubber now (old model) but you can see the original one.

Schwungscheibe. I already wrote that I use classic SR-2 wiring with "ground".

Next week I'm going to paint the wheels...

Hallo Dobrin, when it is still possible please make the stand in the same colour like the frame. It looks better than silver and it´s more original. thumbsup.gif
And a gratulation to the pedalshaft the gearing is still very good you don´t see it often.

The Tim

Thank you

I'll repaint the stand in the same colour. It realy would be better.

By the way, I have a problem with Vergaser. How I have to make a adjustment of fuel level inside? (what must to be the position of the Schwimmer).

Danke Dir für die gute Erklärung! (I saw this phrase in the forum...So I already start learning german) smile.gif .

I go back to the main topic now - the stoplight.

It doesn't matter whether my SR-2 had an original Spatz circuit or not.
It doesn't matter whether it was "repaired" with stoplight latter (two lamps in the taillight ) or not.

I want to DO stoplight by my own hands. You will help me I hope.

Certainly I'm going to use a Spatz circuit...but there are so many questions. _uhm.gif _uhm.gif _uhm.gif
According to Technische Daten, SR-2 has "Schwunglichtmagnetzünder 15/18 W mit Lichtspule 6V 18W ". I can't understand what does it mind: two Lichtspule (fist 6V/15W, second 6V/18W) or two Lichtspule 6V/18W together.

The Spatz circuit has a "Schlußlichtdrossel". Where I can see the picture of it?
Are the "Zündlichtschalter" of Spatz and SR-2 identical?

Your SR2 is fine, good work thumbsup.gif The number is from springtime 1961.

The circuit from Spatz is a little bit diffrent because the Spatz has a accumulator, who is charge in the moped. The SR2 dosn`t have it.

Spatz= https://www.ddrmoped.de/typ/simson/spatz/schaltplan

The Groundplate of SR have 2 separate wirings for the light, its right. (Spatz also!!)
this wirings (Lichtspulen) are connectet in parallel because electrical power.

You can change the Spatz-groundplate to SR, but you must also change or have the wheel!!!, because the ignition-time is diffrent. The groundplate Spatz dos`nt work with the wheel from SR2!!!!

And yes, learn german biggrin.gif we can do also a little bit in russian language (I was at black sea in 4 years ago and I know this) laugh.gif

regards norbert

Большое СПОСИБО biggrin.gif _clap_1.gif thumbsup.gif

I can use three languages now: english, german and russian.

Norbert, why I have to change the wheel (is this mean Schwunglichtmagnetzünder)?
If the Lichtspulen are the same as Spatz I'll just make 2 separate wirings (like Spatz) and I'll add the "Schlußlichtdrossel".

I'll disconnect Lichtspulen parallel circuit to 2 line:
- the firs line (6V/15W) - for hеad-light
- the second line (6V/18W) - directly to stoplight and through Schlußlichtdrossel to taillight and

In this case the ignition time will be the same...or I'm wrong. hmm.gif

Dobrin, the Spatz electric includes lightpower of 33Watts. Also including a function to charge the battery (Accu). SR2 dos`nt have this. The lightpower of SR2 is 18 Watts 15Watts at front and 3 Watts on rear.

Of course you can change the complete electric from spatz to SR2. the engine is the same.

But on the spatz-groundplate is the position of switch for ignition (Unterbrecher) different!! Also the fixing point of wheel (Schwunglichtmagnetzünder). Only together you can change it!!

ohmy.gif Oh, of course you are right. I was in my brain at "Star", sorry for this. Yes, Spatz without charging function.

Yes-s-s-s I'm happy to read this rolleyes.gif ,

In this case I'll try to do Spatz wiring on my SR-2 and also I'll try to change the second Lichtspule (for stop and taillight) with more powerful one.
Please look here

Is one of these Lichtspulen suitable?

I have got three Lichtspulen but I don't know how many watts are they. How I can understand this - resistance of Lichtspulen ?

Hallo zusammen,

I wrote in my last note that I'm going to do Spatz wiring on my SR-2. I was too busy last 2 weeks and I don't.

...but

I saw in Internet this picture of Zundlichtschalter for SR-2 and Spatz.

There are 2 additional terminals. I'v never seen that before. ohmy.gif I suppose that one of them is for Schlußlichtdrossel . _uhm.gif
According to me there must be inside connections as I drow (red lines).

Futher more the taillight has to get power together with frontlight (terminal 56/58).

You can see that with these "red lines" Schaltplan of Spatz and SR-2 becomes absolutely identical (except Schlußlichtdrossel and Stoplight).

In this case probably I can do the Spatz wiring on SR-2 using this:

Hello dear german friends,

I don't write here in a long long time. Unfortunately I had a hard trouble in personal aspect.
It take me 14 monts to resolve the problem. That's why I "forgot" my Simson's passion during this period.
So, the LIFE isn't coloured in all the time. Some time all of us have to be a strong warriors. I'm sure you are agree with me.

But...All is OK now ! I won the Evil !

Let me show now my finished Simson's project.

I start my 1-st SR-2 (1962) project in Spring of 2008 and finishet it in end of the same yaer.
The aim was to give an original view of this moped. That's why I refuse my first idea for stoplight.
Thank you NorbertE. Yoy was absolutely right. Original view is equal to "AS IS". No changes needed !!!
Here is a result:

I start my 2-nd SR-2 (1959) project in Spring of 2009.
The aim was to personalize this moped according my view. You can see the result.
Dark red is my favourite colour.
I use LEDS for rearlight.
The Vergaser isn't an original. It's from a russian moped "Karpati". It fits to SR-2 without any changes.
I made all of emblems for this and previous project myself. (I use transfer paper and colour printer for this.)
Here is a result:

At the end:

The 3-rt project is KR-50 (1957).
This is my last project. I still work over details but you can see the main result.

The 4-th project.
I'm going to "build" a SR-1. I collect parts for it now. The project is still in my mind.

Dear german friends, I want to say "THANK YOU" for your help and yours advises. They are priceless for me.
Special regards for you NorbertE. Your engine repair manual is very popular in Bulgarian forum.
I wish all of you Happy Christmas and Happy New 2011.
